Before I was diagnosed with JAK2 ET, I was advised to wear compression stockings daily because of venous reflux in my legs. Now it seems I'm feeling worse pain in my legs when I put them on. Do compression stockings and ET not do well together? I'm 70 years old and on 81mg aspirin, 5mg Warfarin, and 1000mg HU daily.

ET and compression stockings
Hi
Although I have ET and am also on both Warfarin and Aspirin I don't know the answer. I know I wear compression socks on flights with no problem thats all I can say.
I'm 63 and have ET, never been advised to wear compression stockings!
My sympathies. Like you, I wear compression stockings: I had a string of DVTs while warfarinised, always an ominous sign. I now will wear them for life. The underlying cause was an MPN - PV - and I have not had problems since getting the stockings and taking warfarin - although they're not that cheap, are they?
Any aches and pains I get in my leg, which I certainly get, I attribute to damage to my veinous system during the initial DVT episodes. These jangled my nerves and now remain to annoy me eight years on. I find that reasonable aerobic exercise helps to keep my circulation working OK and minimises dicomfort.
Hi
I had a DVT in December 2015 and now wear cotton support stockings. The nylon one's were too irritating and made my legs ache. I have now been diagnosed with ET jak2 positive which was a contributor to the DVT. Good luck
I've only ever worn them short term when flying and post-operatively in hospital - never had any issues with them - I'm 60 and ET CALR+

I've worn them prior to and since my diagnosis without any change in how they feel. Have you checked with yr doc to be sure no blood clots? Or maybe they've shrunk & r pinching too much? Katie
