kidney Cancer

I have had a Kidney removed due to Transitional Cell carcinoma grade 3 I was let down by my critical illness cover they say im not covered even tho the tumour was invasive has any one else had this happen to them?

Hi Sharon, sorry to hear about your bad news. I have Polycythemia and Legal an General paid out without argument even though I am not yet on chemo drugs. Which company are you with? Kind regards Aime xx

Hi Polycythemia Vera is one of the conditions in a group of illnesses called MPN's. (Myeloproliferative neoplasms a rare form a blood cancer).

I was paid out too, and I would think most cancer would be covered. You can escalate it to the Insurance Ombudsman or Association of British Insurers if you arent happy with the response you had.

I too have Transitional Cell carcinoma grade 3. Due to the rarity of this cancer there are not many contacts on the forums. How are you getting on?

Sorry it's late just got back from hospital my daughter has just had a beautiful little boy blessall is well. I had my kidney removed last July I was cured of the cancer as it had not spread to any other organs but have scans every year for the next ten years. What is happening to you hope it's the same let me know and good luck.
