Is Acyclovir ok to take with HU?

Can we take antivirals for herpes outbreaks? I can call my dr tomorrow but thought someone might know.

Its wise to check however I am prescribed acilivor to prevent shingles following an attack when I commenced ruxolitinib.

the best person to ask is your local pharmacist about taking any medications with your HU, they will be able to check for you and give you advice. Maz

Yes, check with pharmacist but I have been on low dose acyclovir for years now due to repeated herpes outbreaks. I was on HU and now on Ruxolitinib. Medscape drug interaction checker online is always a good reference for drug interactions and many doctors use this site too.
