Is this a PV site! I don't know how I got on here or what MPN is, but I too am on APS forum but c many of u have PV! Just wondering what this forum is! I apologize for my dumbness in advance!!! Godspeed!!!

Hello, PV (polycythaemia vera), ET (essential thrombocythaemia) and MF (myelofibrosis) are all types of MPN, myeloproliferative neoplasms, which are chronic diseases affecting the bone marrow, people with MPNs produce too many mature blood cells, MPNs are classed as a type of cancer as neoplasm (new growth) is a term that has been used both for cancers (malignant neoplasms) and non-cancerous tumours (benign neoplasms). yes PV is one of the MPNs and is recognized around the world. I am in the UK and am keeping very well thank you. Maz
