Second module grade is in.............

Despite the brain fog from tiredness, pain and hydroxy, I am extremely proud to say that my Module 2 grade result came through the post today and, unbelievably, I achieved a grade of 100%!  I hoped that all the hours of studying would pay dividend but a 100% score was not even imagined.  I need to achieve 76% or higher for my final module to gain a Distinction with my Diploma and you can bet your buttons I am going for it.  I really did find my second module much harder than the first because of the pain and tiredness and meds.  My hubby would see me with my head in my hands thinking so hard for the correct word or sentence.  All the hours of study will be worth it if I get an "ology" lol.  I have just taken an extra 60mg of morphine so I think it will be a text book reading afternoon rather than a report writing one.  I don't have many people in my life to share good news with so thanks for letting me share with my MPN family.  Now, how do I talk hubby into taking me out to celebrate xx

That is totally fabulous news and never heard of anyone achieving such high marks before...wow. Incredibly well deserved and even more so, when considering all you have been coping with....wishing now it would be champagne all the way, instead of pain killers. Have a lovely celebration and sure congratulations will be flooding in from everywhere. Love Tinkerbell13

High Slada, I am doing a course in Canine Science and Biology.  I never graduated high school in Canada because of bullying so to prove to myself I could do it and to concentrate on something other than my PV, I took up the challenge.  So far I have achieved grades of 90% + a distinction for my first module and 100% plus distinction for the second.  One more module to go xx

I forgot to add my Distinction to the above Grade.  I had to phone my course tutor to as why he had withheld a Distinction and he told me I had definitely achieved it and to send my report back so he could add it.  He gave me such a glowing report I was buzzing xx

OMG! Just look at what can be achieved despite brain fog. How good would you be without it?  I am so glad that you are allowing us to share in your joy and pride. If your hubby doesn't think a celebration is in order then shame on him. That's a tough act to follow but let us help you celebrate each module. WELL DONE you 😀🍾😀

Wow! you are amazing.  What an achievement.  Even without health issues 100% would seem unattainable to any mere mortal.  Well done and hope you can enjoy the emotional mileage which you sooooooooooo deserve in your celebration. xxx

Hi Jill. Congratulation to you from me. Great accomplishment! You deserve to celebrate. Tell hubby I am requesting a great time out for you. I have been struggling with my PV but today is YOUR day. So that said, be proud of yourself. You are a true inspiration to me and I am sure to all of us.

❤️ Harlie

This email from my tutor really brightened my day.  This is what he replied when I asked why he had not given me a Distinction considering I had achieved 100% grade.

Dear Jillian,

Many thanks for your email. It is so heartening to hear how pleased you are with your outstanding grade - all I can say is that it is so well deserved. It really is an excellent report.

I'm very glad that the course is such a source of joy to you now. Thank you for letting me know that.

I'm sorry I didn't make it clear that you achieved a distinction for both modules' report, but that most definitely is the case.

You can most certainly feel very proud of your achievement. Well done indeed.

All best wishes,

John
