Our poor circulation with this blood disorder makes feet and hands suffer ..particularly cracking and numbness of fingers and toes ,don't you agree? Use plenty of moisturiser and good bath cream ..I found a good knee joint gel in sainsburies it seems warming so I massage it into the joint ,then put on a sports support .it does help on cold frosty mornings !! Take care of yourselves my buddies ,,any tips for comfort are always welcome ..twinkly ,, xx

Hello Twinkly,
Thanks for the tips - I try to go for a walk every day so the warming gel for the knees sounds good.
Could you give me the name of the Sainburys product - I'll ask my sister who lives in the UK to send me over some.
Have a nice day

Forgot to say the medication for rubbing in the joints is in a purple tube with orange letters ..deep relief ..pain gel ...with ibuprofen x levomenthol It's good for back pain as well ..twinkly xxx
Famous last words Twinkly, I slipped on the ice today banged the back of my head, luckily didn't knock my self out but have cracked a bone in my elbow. Also have deep muscle bruising to my rear end! Don't think I'll be going far for the next few days!
Hope everyone else is safe,
Judy X
Still no frost up here in Gods Own County of Yorkshire, lots of rain though. It's warm wellies we want here as well as the socks! We're getting through no end of towels rubbing our dogs down when they've taken out on the fields.
We are lucky in this area that we haven't had any floods (so far). I feel so sorry for the people who have had their homes flooded.
I'll try and get some of that joint gel, haven't got a Sainsburys locally here though, is it their own make or a "brand". My knees are very painful, both need replacing, very wary of the operation though with the ET.
I got a very posh scarf and gloves set for Christmas so waiting for the frost/snow to wear them!
Take care Twinkly!
Best wishes
Lizzie
Could I recommend Biofreeze which you can get on ebay. My sister is a home carer and she buys it for her ladies and gentleman who are suffering with joint pain. Well, I was amazed the first time I used it. One of the worst symptoms for me with PV is the joint pain, to the point on I am on slow release morphine. I also have had my elbow replaced after a nasty fracture and sometimes it can kill me but this stuff is amazing! I live in a sheltered housing scheme and I have been buying it for everyone here as well as they say it's the best stuff they have ever used. It will even penetrate my large bottom when my hip is hurting so it must be good stuff lol. Hope it's okay to mention a brand on here?
