MPN Voice Patients’ Forum – London - 24th November 2014

Monday 24th November 2014, 6 pm – 9 pm, registration from 5.45 pm, the forum will be held in the Robens Suite, 29th Floor Tower Wing, Guy’s Hospital, Great Maze Pond, London, SE1 9RT.

Please note that the Robens Suite is on the 29th floor, the lifts have full wheelchair access.

You are very welcome to bring family and friends with you, there is no fee to attend, a complimentary light buffet with hot and cold refreshments will be available before and during the forum. To register please email [e-mail] and include details of what MPN you have and also the name(s) of your guests (this is for the name badges), and any special dietary requirements you or your guests have.

The programme is yet to be finalized, but will include what’s new in research, what support there is available to you and your choices as a patient and breakout groups for each MPN where patients can meet in smaller groups to discuss everyday challenges and swap tips and chat with other people who have the same MPN, there will also be a family/friends group facilitated by a qualified family therapist, this gives your family/friends a chance to chat to others about how to help and support you.

Oh Maz, I have been waiting for a London date but can't do this one because ........ I don''t do lifts and climbing 29 floors would be just too much! I just about manage the four floors to see Prof Harrison with a lot of laughs and puffs along the way but 29 would be herculean. Never mind I shall look forward to hearing all about it anyway. Hi Linds, that's a shame, unfortunately we couldn't book the usual room in St Thomas', I know what you mean about the lifts, I'm not too keen myself about having to go that far up and down, but as you say, climbing up 29 floors is a lot, especially as I will have all the leaflets and other stuff with me, just hope nobody minds a 'snivelling wreck' in the left with them!
