The Newcastle/Edinburgh joint patients’ forum will be held on Friday 10th October 2014 from 2 – 5.00 pm, with registration and *buffet lunch from 1 pm, in The Grainger Suite, The Centre for Life, Times Square, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE1 4EP. It has been decided to hold a joint patients’ forum this year in Newcastle with the team from Edinburgh, the forum will be hosted by Dr Jonathan Wallis, Consultant Haematologist and Clinical Director, The Freeman Hospital, Newcastle. Dr Mira Farquharson, Consultant Haematologist, Western General Hospital, Edinburgh, will also be attending the forum and giving a presentation. This joint forum will be held again during 2015 in Edinburgh.

2.45 - 3.15 pm – new developments in treatments, Dr Stephen O’Brien
3.15 – 3.30 pm tea/coffee break
3.30 – 4.15 pm – break out groups for ET, PV and MF
4.15 – 4.30 pm – patient story (speaker to be confirmed)
4.30 – 5 pm – questions and discussion and close of forum

There is no fee to attend the forum. *A light buffet lunch will be available during registration from 1 pm and tea, coffee & biscuits and cold drinks will be served during the forum.
