Does anyone know the reason why the Jakarta drug trial has been suspended

Hi nspann1 I take it from the lack of response 'Nobody knows'. Please can u give a little more detail such as is it the Jakafi drug trial for ET/PV , , were u on it and where was it at. Because I would be interested to know if anyone has the answer. I did wonder at the value of such trials knowing how costly they are when NICE had rejected the drug for MF earlier this year. But then again if it has a wider application it might bring the cost down. I think I heard it linked to Pancreatic cancer. I loathe all these politics when it comes to improving peops quality of life or extending life but unfortunately I cant see it improving over time. Cheers

I only know of the Sanofi trial being suspended. Fedratinib (SAR-302503) has been withdrawn because of a possible link with Wernikes Encephalopathy - one case of which has proved fatal. Not aware of any Jakarta trial being suspended
