Empulse device

Does anyone know if the Empulse device is still available and, if so, where? I can find no reference to it these days. If it's been withdrawn, is there anything else on the market which is similar? It was one of the only things which ever helped to prevent migraines.

Thanks for any information.

Mike

I have never heard of the Empulse device, could you please explain what it is?

It's an electro-magnetic device worn around the neck emitting signals which, in my case, prevented migraines for up to two weeks. It was wonderful. Don't know exactly how it works but it's something to do with brainwaves and has to be preprogrammed for an individual. I believe it was made in Norwich but the company doesn't seem to exist anymore. Shame.

Hi, I'm using something similar, its call the Total Migraine System (tms) by Spring...thus its name Spring TMS. It is still in trials, so I'm one of their Guinea pigs I suppose. I was put forward for its use by my Neurologist. At the first symptoms of an attack, you turn it on and then place it at the back of your head and pull the trigger which emits a magnetic pulse to you head, after 15 to 30 seconds, you do it again and then repeat 15 minutes later. I'm not entirely sure if it is working, but it is certainly not making the migraines worse and it may have been responsible for a migraine not developing at all. It does feel rather strange to pull the trigger whilst holding it against your head...and gives everyone else in the family a smile....not sure I would use in public...this is not a small item.
