I was wondering if anybody is struggling (and this for years) with chronic migraine and chronic sore throat/chronic tonsillitis. I have come to think that part of my migraines are caused by an underlying chronic infection. As usual, blood tests are fine. Antibiotics work for the throat when it gets too bad, so not just in my head. Most of the time my migraines get better while I am on antibiotics, hence my questioning. ENT specialist said that because of the impact my sore tonsils have on my life I could consider having them removed. 😱 Sorry, I just think that surgeons are always a bit too trigger happy without considering the overall picture. I know that it would take me weeks to recover from that (months???). I am in my late fifties. Had tonsils issue since I've been a little kid. But keeping on taking antibiotics several times a year for ever???? Not sure about that.
If anyone has any similar experience or know someone who has, I'd love to hear about it. Have a nice Sunday ! 🙂

Thank you. I've had a full nose reconstructive surgery after an accident and my septum is deviated and has a hole. They keep on telling me that my sinuses are fine but I can't breathe through my nose. I'm going to have to take this very seriously.
Wow. That’s a lot of antibiotics. Over time, your gut flora can be hammered and there is a gut-brain connection…
As I read your post, it seemed apparent you are having recurrent infections, which cause inflammation, (as you know!) and tonsillectomy might be warranted. Get two opinions from well-qualified ENT docs. Then, follow through.
