I am really interested in hearing how the system works. Also is it possible to self refer, as sometimes with headaches it is the very 'gate keeping' culture that appears to stop necessary referrals taking place in the NHS.

The whole ethos of the clinic is that is accessible to all. Appointments can be made over the phone on 0207 251 3322 or online at nationalmigrainecentre.org.uk you can self refer or your GP can send us a referral (although we receive no funding from the NHS).
The waiting list is normally relatively short, 2 weeks but there are often cancellations so that you can be seen sooner. The reception team will put you with a doctor that best suits your specific needs, for example if your migraine is hormonally related.
We ask all patients for a donation to help us cover the cost of appointment which is explained on our website. However the donation should not prohibit those unable to afford to come. Please just help in any way you can.
Take control and book now, as the sooner you get help, the sooner our doctors can start developing your plan for long-term relief.
