Migraines with head and face tingling

Hi , I hope you are all well.... I am a newbie here and would like to chat with members who have this awful condition.

I have been suffering badly with 24/7 daily headaches for 2 years now. I have pins and needles in my head, face and lower legs all the time. I do have headaches but not what I would call severe, its the pins and needles that are unbearable, I feel movement in my head which is now coming into my neack. These sensation's are all over the head, and I'm finding that it's now effecting my body temperautre. The hotter I get the more intense the tingling gets. This has made me so very ill to the point of not being able to drive and extremley tired and not having much energy. I do vomit occassionally. I have seen a Neurologist who has said these are chronic Migraines without headaches. The back of my head gets very tight, like a band is around it.. Also When my feet touch the ground the tingling gets worse. I DO NOT THINK THIS IS MIGRAINE!!! The Neurologist has given me PIZOTIFEN, which I'm reluctant to take, He has also requested for me to have BOTOX in DECEMBER.

I have had an MRI and a CT scan and a test for MS, all tests came back normal.

I have also been diagoised with SUSPECTED MICROVASCULAR ISCHEMIA ANGINA, which again I'm having tests for. Cardiologist gave me DILTIAZEM which have made me feel awful,, so I've stopped taking them until I get a proper diagnoises.

Sorry for the rant

Any advice greatley appreciated

Take care

Migraines often manifest in very bizarre ways and they can come out of nowhere too. I should think the fact that you vomit is a good indicator of migraine though. I would say personally there is no reason to believe they are not migraine particularly? However it is always a shame that your neurologist and cardiologist can't have a joint conversation because you would have thought that it would be useful to see if your heart problems could create some of your symptoms but I presume your cardiologist is aware of your migraine-like symptoms already?

Pizotofen is a very standard drug for treatment of migraines, I've been on it.

Thank you, and yes Cardiololgist and Neurologist are working alongside each other. I am having Heart tests to rule out Angina. I only started the Pizotifen yeaterday so need to give them time.

Keep ya posted

Take care🌈🌈

hi , sorry to hear you are suffering . I have Botox for migraine which I find very helpful for pain levels particularly in the neck and shoulders . The migraine symptoms are still there brain fog , exhaustion etc but it’s better than it was . I was suffering with additional symptoms when I took HRT … these were vertigo and pins & needles .hope that helps and you get a diagnosis soon x
