Ajovy has given me my life back since having the injections nearly a year ago. However, I have started having daily tummy ache and investigations show nothing so I was just wondering if it’s possible the injections are causing it. Has anyone else on the injections getting tunmy ache? Possible not connected at all but I’m running out of ideas. Thank you.

Ajovy
The CGRP's are well known to aggravate symptoms of IBS, to the degree I was only able to try 2 of them. I was put on the the 2 that were considered less problematic for IBS and I still got worse IBS and I possibly developed Bladder Pain Syndrome too. As a result my neurologist and I have agreed not try the CGRP injectables for now, we may try the newer ones because they don't stay in the body that long but they are not available yet.
Hi Janine, I tried both Ajovy and another for 2 years which did reduce the severity of my migraines but not the frequency.. however after reading your post I realised I have had stomach problems since coming off them which was nearly 3 years ago! I too have been thoroughly investigated and only yesterday my pain management consultant has informed me that it could be the stomach lining and muscle that is causing the pain.. I am now booked for a ultrasound scan to rule out any other possibilities and also now using ibuprofen gel on the area of pain and deep heat along with morphine patches. I now wonder if the injection has caused this after reading your post? Just keep pushing for more investigations and hopefully you will find some answers... Good luck
Hi again Janine... I've been using the ibuprofen gel and Dermacool on my stomach up and down from breast bone to lower abdomen. It has given me some relief so far... also paracetamol 5 hourly and Johnsons vapour bath gel for children. Maybe it might be worth trying them ?? Leeann
