I am having increasing bouts of migraine with aura.seem to be several on a week so probably counts as one intermittent ongoing migraine I have had them on and off most of my adult life but can’t recall having them at all in the last few years until recently Triggers may be stress but there’s always been alot of stress over the years so I rule that out Bright lights as in sun bouncing off a surface Erratic sleep patterns - other than that no idea Gp suggested Dolovent which is magnesium riboflavin and q10 and has v good reviews It makes you poo a lot and I am no taking the full dose but wil persevere as it takes months ( it is expensive ) Whereas before after aura had passed I could crack on , now I am so out of sync for days feeling like it will re occur, having to watch what I look at .. anxiety levels through the roof and on edge - my whole body feels disrupted my head feels like it has been punched - head and ears are stuffy/ muffled and I am very very low mood ( partner doesn’t really understand what I am going through and thinks I am depressed!)
I am 65 and it’s messing with my daily life now and I wonder if it is age related . I have posted this to swap notes - I know there’s no silver bullet but maybe I need another gp visit and a brain scan to rule out other stuff .I have private medical so if anyone has any UK migraine specialists they have seen that would go down a different path than the usual prescription drugs as I am not going there !

Hi - am sorry you havent had a reply as yet!!! so here i am!!! i have literally had a migraine whilst at work, mostly aura which seems to be what i am getting on the whole - the last one was three weeks ago, i put it down to trying some ginger powder for pain i am experiencing from my ear (another story) - i stopped the ginger and didnt have any migraine until today so i was cheesed off and upset, very emotional, it's the complete randomness of it all, and as i drive to work my anxiety is high, i have made a gp appointment (gone private just to see someone!. I share your anxiety - how are you getting on with the suggestions - the magnesium etc...i am 58 - have been going through a lot of stress at work due to my work place soon to close (Care home) plus this week i was scammed for a smallish amount of money but resulted in me having to cancel my debit card etc...how does one deal with stress??? the visual disturbances scare me to death, i thought i was having a stroke as my eye felt very weird but i understand that is migraine related, but i am definitely going to get myself checked out, wishing you well!!!
