Pressure headache and fatigue daily

Hi,

Since December last year I have suffered immensely /24/7 with a pressure in my temples/ front of head with bad brain fog, it’s not so much pain but pressure and pulsating, with that I have bad daily fatigue and has really Impacted everything I do. I have suffered migraine with aura since a teenager I’m now 30. I used to get a migraine 3 /4 times a month and haven’t had one since this started (17th December) Bloods where fine etc. could this be related to previous migraines? I did get covid and had a weird headache end of January, I’m assuming this has probably contributed too.

Thank you so much

You should get assessed for long-COVID. I hope it resolves for you regardless. I have something similar going on (not COVID related but perhaps Chronic Fatigue or MD/CFS from something else). Luckily long COVID is drawing attention to Chronic Fatigue so hopefully there will finally be help, whatever the source. Anyway, I really sympathize with you and wish you the best!

How's your neck and shoulders? Any stiffness that you're aware of, or any injury, however slight, before this started? I've got a headache with a pulsing noise in my ears currently causing much fatigue and brain fog, but I'm so old now I'm fully aware this is to do with stiffness in those areas and will see the physio as soon as I can. Might be worth you visiting a cranial osteopath (they're the best people to see, much quicker treatment, usually just one visit) just to see if it helps...

Visit an osteopath or similar practitioner is my advice. Hope that sorts it, it should do. Funny you mention the legs - I notice my legs seem to have trouble working properly as the day wears on, get quite achy, I really must go and get a treatment... its all connected, and trouble at the neck/shoulder area usually means the lower back is irritable too, though you may be unaware of that.

Just curious, is it the same all the time? Day and when you go to sleep. Do you notice any difference when you eat and drink water?

Are you treating it with anything? Preventative?

I assume you have ( like most of us), been to a number of doctor and don't get good answers.

I would like to recommend the "Heads Up" podcast. Not sure if you know how to listen to them. Just download any podcast reading App. ( castbox, podcast reader, etc) then once the App. Is installed search for the podcast. You can see all of the episodes then pick the ones you want to listen to. You can also leave comments. The amazing women who run it ate 2 doctors that only treat patients with migraines, they are specialist from the UK.

I have also listened to world migraine summitt, they have wonderful workshops to help..

Hope we can give you some advice.

Hey, thank you for your message, sometimes at night it’s ok other times I feel pain in my neck and head, normally worst from 11:30am onwards. Potentially notice a difference after eating, why would this be? I’m currently not treating it and taking no medication. I have been to doctors with terrible answers, have my 2nd neurological appointment tomorrow with the results of an mri scan, thanks for this info I will sure watch the podcast.

Please consider starting magnesium asap!. Many studies show people who have migraines don't have enough magnesium ( the Podcast will verify this). Start with 2x a day, the once you body get comfortable, increase to 3x. Many people with migraines are helped by eating 3 meals a day with protein. You could also try snacking on things like almonds if you get hungry. I try to not allow my body to get hungry.

You can only listen to the podcast. They have really helped me.

Good luck!

Headache can certainly be a long COVID symptom. Hopefully you are following up with a neurologist.
