Hi, id be grateful for any thoughts on indomethacin, started it today and feel so so grotty dizzy nauseous and my permanent headpain got worse. Do you carry on for few days and body gets used to

It? Or does that rule it out for me?

As some of you may know Ive had chronic migraine for 18 months and none of the usual things have worked . Had botox ajovy and cefaly and greater occipital nerve block. Trying indomethacin to see if it’s hemicrania continua. Heres hoping.

Update - i took one and was very nauseous and dizzy- pressed on and took another thinking id get used to it. Head pain soared- bad dreams sweating and bed bound next day. Couldn’t possibly swallow another so theyre in the bin. Feel like my chronic migraine was a snoozing lion with a permanent background pain score of 5 which took off to ten . Like the worst hangover u ever had and drank nothing ……. Back to the drawing board. Cannot come across anything ive not tried now. 😥

I take Indomethacin (along with almotriptan or on its own) for my migraines regularly. It can make you feel pretty awful and it's nasty stuff to have to rely on. :( Sometimes it will make the pain worse before it gets better. But that said it does get better within hours and if yours never did, I doubt taking more would help. It should help a little or a lot within hours. Some times it does not work for me, at least it first. But it usually at lest helps a tiny bit. Anyway, I'm not a medical professional, I just wanted to share my own experiences. You should talk to your doctor about your experience with it. I hope you can find something that helps, it sounds just awful. :(

Gosh yes only took two tablets first one made me dizzy i thought i can live with that , i may get used to it. Second one sent my pain score throu the roof, apparently its used for hemicrania continua, which i felt (haha!) that i mite have. If the drug works, then u do indeed have H C. If it dosnt then u didnt have it. Clearly i did not have H C .
