No problem at all and a big relief as my previous high blood pressure gave me a pretty bad reaction !

I had to come off it because it lowered my blood pressure too much.

I had very few side effects other than low blood pressure and when I did have a migraine they were different- there was more visual aura. My blood pressure was already low before starting on it and so I could only take 8mg. However that dose was enough to have a major impact on the frequency and intensity of the migraines. I went from many migraines a week to sporadic migraines and only took one triptan in two years. It took about two months to get to a stage where I thought it was making a difference and it improved after that. I have never had anything which has had that impact, so would recommend giving it a try. I’m sure it doesn’t work for everyone as migraine has so many different triggers but I’d been on every prophylactic going and all had unpleasant side effects and weren’t particularly good either. Good luck!

Hello csbadhead. I normally react quite badly to most medic but I found Candesartan to be quite ok. I am still on it, as I do find it helps a bit with migraines, although, I am looking for something else, as the effect is not enough. The good thing is that you don't need to wait for months and months to see any benefit and you can stop pretty much at any time.

You can feel a bit light-headed, I found but not always. The major side effect I had, was the sore throat, blocked nose and cough. It seems to get better after a while but it seems to flare up sometimes. You may have to keep an eye on this because of the current situation.

You can definitely give it a try. My doc said it is best to take it on the evening for migraines. It helps you sleep as well. I take it after my evening meal because when I used to take it before bed, it was giving me acid in the stomach.

All the best!

Very well and none! Good luck

For me it was absolutely awful. Caused night terrors, shakiness and inability to get breath!

I tried this for 10 days - 2mg the first week, then increased to 4mg when I passed out! Have had dizziness since so am waiting for this to pass before I try again.
