I wonder do people have clear times when you have no pain? Or do your headaces hurt a lot ( on scale 1-10) an 8 then go to a 1-2 hours a day?

How many hours a day are you pain free?
Hi there. I get migraines but not too often, not like my son who has had frequent debilitating migraines most of his life. He is 29. I wish he would join this forum but he won't. 😐 I would venture to say he has about one headache-free day a week. Most days he has headaches that turn into migraines, or sometimes migraines that downgrade to headaches.
I can have days without head pain ( headache not other pain unfortunately) and then when my brain has become hyperstimulated for ever reason, often stress, then I can have weeks with constant pain ebbing and flowing in severity.
I’m sorry you go through this too. Reading your post, I thought I had written it.
Life with chronic pain (of many kinds) really makes you appreciate those days, that to others might be some
of their worst days, but for us may be some of our best! Perspective is powerful.
So true! You do have to adjust your expectations for life. What really annoys me is developing a different chronic pain condition every couple of years, that I then have to add the others and then having to make yet another expection adjustment! You would have thought the first lot would be enough...
No kidding! I have multiple unrelated rare conditions that are mostly “invisible” and I’ve said so many times that handling just one of any of them would be more than enough, but all at the same time is just cruel and unusual punishment 😣
I wish you better days ahead
Yes being rare is overrated! All of my conditions are in "invisible" too.
I have 5 days free pain at the moment. I thought that was awful but seems others have it far worse
I have hemicrania continua and was getting headaches he’s almost every night starting early hours, keeping me awake and it would probably wear off about midday. Things aren’t as bad now as I’m having approx 15 a month and they’re not as intense. Feel very luck when I don’t have a headache
That's an interesting. I get cluster headaches so I can go without a migraine, or very few, for quite long spells and then will get a spell lasting may be two or three weeks where they are more or less continuous. I would say there are very few days where I don't have even a hint of a headache. I have very occasionally been very aware of not having a headache which is often followed by a migraine within a couple of hours! I have mild fibromyalgia too so i usually have an ache or a pain somewhere and I thought that was normal until I was prescribed 10mg amitryptaline and for the first few days woke up completely pain free! It didn't last but the amitryptaline still helps a bit. I see the slight headache or other pains as background noise that I don't really notice that much but it would be great not to have it. When I was first prescribed zolmitriptan the doctor said not to take it for a headache but only if I was getting a migraine. I eventually realised that I'm so used to ignoring milder headaches that by the time I felt a need to take something it probably already was a migraine and I'd left it too late!
