During my migraines I can often get this odd feeling in my hand - usually it's because the hand in question is often the one that's about to go numb - that it is not my actual hands. It looks off and feels light in a very unsettling way.
This is usually pretty normal and disappear after it goes numb.
But after the migraine, I seem to experience a feeling of disassociation when I look at my hand. The hand itself is fine, but there are times when I end up staring at the hand and feeling more and more frightened, with a sense that this really is not my hand anymore, and it shouldn't be there.
I know, basic advice is try not to look at your hands -but does anyone else get this sort of thing?

Try not to worry, numbness and disassociation are quite common with chronic migraines. It can feel scary so I rest until it passes although it can take a few hours. Try resting your head on a chill pillow (JML & Boot sell them). It seems to help me.
