There seems to be a lot of people having relief with the mindbody approach, so there’s the curable app but there’s also loads of Facebook groups you can join to get a better understanding.

Join a tension myositis syndrome Facebook group to learn about the condition, also a group called pain free you by Dan buglio, also journalspeak by nichole Sachs incase you have tinnitus add rock steady with joey remenyi.

If you follow the page for the ppd association you’ll also see the people who made the app, and in the tms group you’ll occasionally see a post from Dave Clarke one of the people behind the app.

I highly advise you learn the works of Howard shubiner and if your in the uk, Georgie Oldfield and the sirpa organisation.

If you have any trouble finding them let me know and You can add me on Facebook and I’ll add you to the groups.

There’s also some really good YouTube videos, there’s also some great books.

The great pain deception by Steve ozniach and unlearn your pain by Howard shubiner are great also you can visitunlearnyourpain.com

There’s so much to look through.

Oh and not to forget tmswiki has some amazing stuff, you’ll be so amazed at it all.

Thank you so much Scottlondon. Have your migraines improved as a consequence?

I’ve only been doing this a little while, and to be honest all I’m doing is reading book after book. I started doing a couple exercise last year and began feeling better, so much so I got my first job in 9 years, but recently I’ve had a bad time with anxiety and panic attacks and stopped doing the exercises.

Last night I started the unlearn your pain book again though and am gonna try and give it a better attempt.

Meditations been hard because of tinnitus, I could make up so many excuses, the reality is I’m not cured, but so far the accuracy the books can predict my personality and my life story is quite scary.

I believe in the work just seem to lazy to do the work, hope fully in a few months I have a more positive story for you.

I joined Curable for about 9 months. I found that it helped to reduce my anxiety around the attacks using meditation techniques. Because it is devoted to chronic pain, all the people on there know what you’re going through and are super-supportive. I gave up with it in the end cos I couldn’t afford it.

Hi Ummpeter,

Thanks for reply about curable. I'm glad it helped you. Did it help the migraines? They are doing a reduced price at the moment but I'm not sure whether to pay for it or not. If it helps reduce the frequency of the migraines it might be worth it.

Thanks again.

Hi, I've just seen your post. I am getting GREAT reduction in migraine frequency AND severity through completely living the strategies suggested by the MindBody approach. I think Scott London has given you wonderful recommendations. I would definitely begin with Dr. Howard Schibiner's website (Unlearn Your Pain) and then find a TMS practitioner here in the UK (if you're here in the UK). Georgie Oldfield, who is amazing, is now running a free webinar on Thursday afternoons at 4pm during this lockdown which is in a Question and Answer format so you could ask any questions that you might have about it (go to the Sirpa website for details). I have tried almost EVERYTHING in the past to get rid of long-term chronic migraines (I'm 56 and have had them since my teens). This is the only thing that really has helped me to live my life again freely and joyfully. I wish you well. Don't give up hope! All the best.

Hi Clydelle, I appreciate this is a post from two years ago now so not sure if you'll see my msg. I am working with a SIRPA practitioner for chronic migraine, I enjoy the sessions but it hasn't made a dent on the pain yet, just wondering how long it took you to see an improvement and what strategies worked best for you? Thanks
