Hello, this may seem like a stupid question, but have you been tested for celiac disease or gluten intolerance? I ask because a friend of mine had really bad migraines and they found out that he was gluten intolerant. Once he stopped all gluten, his headaches really subsided quite a bit. Almost zero headaches he says.

I went gluten free 2 years ago as I have 2 auto-immune conditions and now eat a very low carb diet in general - your friends results might be down to eating a lot less carbs being gluten free? My advice to all is DO NOT buy gluten free alternatives like gluten free bread and biscuits, just don't eat the bread and biscuits!

So you think it's the carbs in general? I don't think he's quit carbs totally. He eats corn tortillas etc.

There are books about low carb diet being the “cure” for migraine, keeping it under 50g of carbs daily if poss? If your friend is avoiding gluten in his diet rather than replacing food with gluten free alternatives he could well be below the 50g daily......well not on the days he eats tortillas maybe, even a small handful will be about 20g carbs😩

I'll pass that on. About not purchasing gluten free breads and muffins etc., why not?

Just because the replacement ingredients aren’t very “healthy” either- pick up a loaf of GF bread and read the ingredients list next time you’re shopping 😳yuk!
