Hello susie50 - Sounds like the symptoms that I experience on occasions. This has been diagnosed as part of the migraine pattern. It can also effect one's ability to speak clearly. Migraine can manifest itself in many forms.

Thank you , my husbands scared it's Alzheimer's , a stroke etc but I'm sure it's just migraine! It is a bit scarey though. Memory's come back now though :-)

Be a good idea to see your GP though, just to get checked over (if you haven't already).

I have days when I don't get a headache but just feel odd and memory ,concentration etc is affected and I feel sluggish . Sometimes a migraine will follow , sometimes not .

It's all part of it . I still haven't had a headache since starting Pregabalin about 8 days now ...watch this space !

I have had migraine for 30 years. I have had to train myself not to answer the phone when I have a migraine because I will have a perfectly sensible conversation with someone and then not even remember that I spoke to them. On the other hand after lying in bed for 2 days unable to think about anything I have often found that a previously insoluble problem now either has a solution or has stopped bothering me. Migraine does strange things.

You might find it helpful to keep a visual disturbance diary and see if you can identify any recurrent triggers, typical ones include stress, travel, missing meals, too much socialising, not enough time alone. Best of luck.

Hi yes it sounds like a silent migraine which I get it. Its a strange phenomena not easily articulated or understood by anyone who doesn't get them. I am learning the triggers and solutions resting is by far the best which isn't always possible and that's when it gets tricky to handle. Go to your GP to get referred to a neurologist.

I get this too. It's a kind of brain fog, which makes it very difficult for me to concentrate. I sometimes have difficulty with getting my words out, and with reading - it's like the words are jumping all over the page or the screen, and I have to work really hard to get them all to go in the right order. Given that I work as an editor, this makes my job very difficult at times! I haven't really found anything that helps, except rest. I only recently realised that these were actual migraine symptoms. I've no idea what I really thought it was - I think I thought I was losing it or something - but knowing that there's a reason for it makes me feel a bit better. I'm not fighting against it as much as I used to.

I'm suffering from migraine since 30 years back and rarely get headache , diagnosed when I was 17

I know recently that this called silent migraine , where there are days I woke up feeling dizzy , can't see well (aura) feeling like vomiting , dizzy , lightheaded , I knew it will be a bad day , where I may say words in odd way , and hardly to remember things , then things fell easily from me .

Recently I had one incident where I couldn't remember how to talk! Like I forgot my language , very scary.

I met neurologist recently who prescribed for me riboflavin which is vitamin B2 400mg daily , and it is really surprise to me that I had only one minor attack since two weeks!

Hope it will work for me for the long term , why don't you try it? Ask your doctor if your husband can
