Hemp oil for migraine

I would recommend half a teaspoon of hemp oil, for anyone suffering with migraine.

I read somewhere that it works. I was a little sceptical as I have tried other herbs, that only worked for a while.

I recently bought it at the local health store. Cost a little over £8, but you can't put a price on pain relief. For the last two mornings, I felt the aura of a migraine with floaters. I took half a teaspoon of hemp oil with water. The migraine reduced within 10 minutes and I was virtually pain free within an hour.

I also took magnesium and selenium after a couple of hours, for a boost. This worked brilliantly. I now can get on with my day as a carer. I don't know how long this will last, but I am so pleased.

I hope this is helpful to someone. Please let me know. Have a Blessed day.

Hi Frodo , i get it from my herbal gp. You can buy it from holland & barratt but it's a bit of a mine field trying to understand it all.

Do you mean medical marijuana as hemp oil? And if so, what doseage amount? Lucky you for this find!

Hi Marg

I know they are related, but I did mean Hemp oil, found in health shops etc. It states that it is VIRGIN COLD PRESSED. Can be taken alone or with food.

Give it a try, if you're suffering like me. There is no actual dosage. I was guided be another subscriber who used half a teaspoon. I have now take a teaspoonful and is getting good results.

I would advise that it be kept on your bedside cabinet, so that you can take it quickly, in the mornings.

I wouldn't be without it now.

Hope this is helpful.

Hi Marg

Just looked it up. Hemp oil is not to be confused with hash oil ( that comes from marijuana). Hemp is a different herb altogether. Hemp oil is rich in omega 3. Studies show that it help control high blood cholesterol. Not to be given to children under 12 months of age.

Hope this answers your query.

I also read that you can take Hemp oil up to 15mls per day

Canabis oil for me and it's from the flower bud not the leaf. No room spin or hallucinations. Just two drops under my tongue in the morning keeps my migraines at bay 👍

I can fully function too.

Cally, I got cannibis oil too and they recommended a bit of THC mixed in to activate the CBD. I didn't want any psychedelic effect s at all so got 20:1= 1 part THC. So is the oil you use only CBD that keeps migraine at bay with no THC? Sounds like the THC comes from the leaf and CBD from the flower bud?

Hey huni 😁 yeah just cbd it's really strong so i mixed it with coconut oil 1ml mixed with 5ml coconut oil. Two drops under my tongue when i get up.

Have a look at the first link troy put up below it explains the differences.

Hope your doing ok 👍

Hi Cally! Thank you. Just wondering-- you mentioned mixing the CBD Oil with coconut oil (good idea) because it's so strong. How does it manifest as strong if it doesn't get you high?

Honestly it's just like taking a strong painkiller but no harm to my tummy.

I feel painfree, relaxed and able to get on with my day doing all of my usual things 👍

Coconut oil hardens as you know so i place my dropper bottle in a small amount of hot water to melt it again 😁 didn't fancy mixing it with olive oil (boak) lol x

I have noticed there are un-answered question and confusion. I think the below article may shed some light:

dutch-headshop.com/en/diffe...

Is it good or bad for human?

livestrong.com/article/1372...

While above article has positives, the below article is quite negative:

stylecraze.com/articles/une...

So I leave it to you to judge !

Thanks for the info.

I agree, this is all very confusing.

The hemp oil works well for me. As many prescribed medication, including antidepressants, have a far longer list of side effects, I am happy to carry on using it.
