Bad headaches
May I suggest you try doing exercise everyday?
Jogging / running is excellent for headache sufferers, but if you cannot do these for some reason, can you please try to walk everyday? You can start with just 5-10 min and then slowly increase it. My suggestion of course assumes that you are not doing this already - so I may be wrongly suggesting. If you are doing exercise, please make sure not to try with weights (lifting) - and limit to free hand, simple exercise.
It is vital for all migraine / headache sufferers to go to bed well before 12am and maintain a pattern - I know it is easier said than done though !
If painkillers do not work you can ask GPs to prescribe Rizatriptan.
If you have not tried, can I suggest taking Riboflavin (vitamin B2) 400mg daily - if GP does not write prescription, it can be purchased from Amazon (Bio-Tech) . Please remember, the daily dose has to be 400mg, no less. Usual over the counter multivitamins only contain 2 to 3 mg B2.
Do triptans work for you or not even those? I really feel for you. A combination of several drugs might help - don't give up trying. I am on gabapentin plus HRT plus aspirin plus B2 plus magnesium which combined means I can go up to 3 days without one (without taking sumatriptan) and that's good for me as I get them every other day. Keep going back to your GP. All the best
