Migraine free for 3 months

Hi, just wanted to write a quick post on here. Last year I was troubled by migraines almost daily. I usually can feel mine coming on before hand and I get groggy. The symptoms get worse and it peaks with vertigo where my vision spins. Although I never get pain it is not nice at all. After these episodes I am wiped out and just need to sleep sometimes just for an hour or when they are bad up to 10 hours. Anyway. It really got to the point where it was destroying my life so I tried my best to live well to counter them. I started taking magnesium tablets, exercising more, drinking plenty of water, eating better and trying to sleep better/reduce stress. My job is very stressful and I have 2 children under 4 so sleep has been tricky. However I am feeling tonnes better now and feel a million miles away from getting a migraine where I always felt last year one was brewing. One thing in the last few months which I also feel has contributed has been giving up fizzy drinks altogether. I used to drink things like Pepsi max, Coke Zero but since I have stopped drinking these things I feel so much better. I wanted to post as maybe something like magnesium or cutting something out of your diet might help someone else. I get the magnesium tablets idea from on here and I hope my experience can help. I have suffered on and off for 8 years but hope I am some time away from another!

Can you tell me how much magnesium, how many doses per day and if it is a particular type of magnesium?

I have been told and take 400mg of chelated magnesium and 300mgs of vit B2 it does seem a lot but apparently you need to take high doses. I have just started on a 3 month trial with a Gammacore device and that has been very beneficial.

Hi Jamie, Glad to hear that you're doing so much better with the migraines! Could you tell me how you changed your eating habits, apart from the fizzy drinks? Thanks.
