We are all different when it comes down to side effects so what drugs effect us may not suit another. Take this medication and allow five weeks to get used to them as you progress

Hi I have been on Duloxetine for over 8 years getting up to dose of 90 mg a day. No probs or side effects but now starting to lose its effect. My GP has worked on a way of reducing the Duloxetine and putting me on Mirtazapan. So far so good. Give it a go, I am sure it will help.

I’ve been on Duloxetine since July, the only side effects I’ve had which are pretty persistent, colic, gives me a dodgy gastric pain about an hr after taking it, and chronic diarrhoea.

I’ve not taken Imodium so far, just trying to manage it, I have found taking it at night reduces the awareness of the colicky feeling and also the runs! It’s working well for me though, I am on 60mg a day, I do feel it helps greatly, there are times when I feel slightly anxious and paranoid but I think that’s more hormonal. I really hope it works for you, this was pretty much my only option.

I still lead a normal life, I don’t find they keep me awake thankfully, I find I function better in the mornings too, far more alert. I’m thinking the regular loo visits maybe because of something else though.

in reply toBluesqiggle

OK thats gd to hear glad u can still function on it fair enough well hopefully u can get it sorted thanks so much for the info x
