This past year has been one of the worst in my life (as I'm sure is the case for many people.) I've had lifelong anxiety and depression and also struggle with lack of employment. I haven't qualified for unemployment compensation (here in the US.) I know the pandemic will end, and that things should get better, but I live alone with my two cats, bless them, and every day has been a struggle for a long time. I take my meds, exercise, eat right, meditate, etc., but I've become really isolated, and have committed to myself to reach out for support in every way possible. Thanks for reading this post : )

Reaching out from life in isolation!
Hello friend, I am glad to know that you take care of your health well. Given the situation with the pandemic, it's only normal to feel lonely. To put it into a positive sense we can see it as " WE ARE ALL SOCIALLY ISOLATED...... TOGETHER😀". You can use this forum as an outlet for loneliness. DON'T WORRY.
Hobbies and diversions will help you move on, you have your cats, do you have any interests that will help you and your mood

I have a great interest in dark chocolate, which has helped a tremendous amount! It tends to lift my mood right up, but too much and it triggers my anxiety 🙁😉
I have my art, crafts, music, photography for which this pandemic has been wonderful! Awful in every other way, but amazing for creative endeavors.
Black chocolate can lift the mood although personally a couple of squares is enough at any time, it just becomes part of my weight gain.
You have your hobbies and it is hoped you can maintain those interests. What form of photography do you do. I used to take stills although now I prefer movies in HD. The problem is we are unable to go out and enjoy that interest. I have a Panasonic HD camera with relevant special effects etc on the computer. I normally edit on the computer.

Hi there.. I have been the same though I live with my o/h and grandson, but it has knocked my anxiety and social anxiety.. we will come through this though, hold on to the belief just because one day is bad doesn't mean others will be the same.. as the good weather comes hopefully things will change as shops open again and we get back to come type of normality.. you are not alone xx
Thanks, Pat9! Challenging my own negative beliefs is hard sometimes, especially now. I agree--some kind of normal will return, and the nicer weather definitely lifts the spirits 😊
