Out of shape and out of breath. HIGH ANXIETY

So our cousin’s wedding is this weekend and I just practiced a bit on our entrance since I’m the bridesmaid. Dancing made me out of breath and now I’m hyperventilating that I can’t breathe. This is why I don’t like doing anything that’ll make me lose my breath bc my mind goes to an automatic panic mode that it’s something else. Someone please any advice!

Hello mz_rachel

Thank you for your message. I am sorry that you are feeling so anxious about the wedding.

I guess by now you will be preparing. To get through the day. Do you have any medication or strategies to help ? If not you might want to say a reassuring phrase to your self And take slow mindful breaths when you feel anxious, concentrating on carefully breathing in and out.

If you feel severely unwell, you might want to confide in someone with you.

Have you talked with your doctor about this? There are many therapies that might help but they will take time to access. Perhaps you can take a look at the topics and pinned posts.
