Hi Beth, Please read the leaflet that accompanies the drug as it does state not to stop this without consulting your Doctor and also report if you develop a rash. However as some of the other members have reassured you on a different community you can relax and try the medication as they have found a benefit from it. Good luck with it and do let us all know how you are getting on.

Hi! I’m sorry for the constant questions but I have severe anxiety. I haven’t started the drug yet, I’m just wondering about common side effects and how it affected other people x

Hi Beth, I was on venlafaxine, VERY successfully, UNTIL I ran out of them. The Doc said he'd prescribed them and sent my script to my designated pharmacy, the pharmacy said that they hadn't etc ..... but VERY SOON (within 24 hrs), I was getting the most awful withdrawal symptoms (lightening strikes inside my head etc) and because I live alone and rarely see a soul they and many other symptoms continued and I was so 'unaware' that I wasn't in the right mind to call 999. In fact I have never been right since !!! No one else is aware (they are now lol).

Research your medication and let your immediate friends/family know you're on it and what will happen if/when you stop or are prevented from taking them. It is a difficult medication to stop, unless people make monumental cock-ups very mindlessly. So please be aware.
