Hi Wilfred,
Do you want to share some more detail about those deeper episodes?
How are you coping with them?

My wife has a small shop 3 miles away i usually accopany her to unlock and do all the jobs that need doing caretaker cum dogsbody , having moved house 12mts ago there's lots to do . I had done so much you could say I had hit the wall and just went phased , I've always enjoyed working round the house it's therapeutic takes your mind off work or doing the garden I could meditate on work problems ... That day I just left the car there and got on t the two buses to get home literally insulated from my surroundings . I got the third degree when my wife found out what I had done & not jumped or something other.... At another time following by chance I found out apart from having epilepsy I had been Bi-polar all my life and that set off more depression . Telling you this I feel like I'm just whinging. ........ 58wilfred58
One day when I was about 13 the police brought mum home she had just had a full blown psychotic screaming session in the middle of Woolworths It didn't do much for my cheerfulness it was time when we were cooking on an upturned electric fire with metal (eek) pans the gas had been disconnected & mum would nick the odd cabbage of the allotments . My shoe soles were coming away and i would wire them through the welts on either side , God only knows what they used to think of me at school , i can go on and on if you want others tell me
Hi Wilfred,
No - you are not whinging. We all the need to express feelings out loud. Of course it's better to get it out in a forum like this than in public, with the missus or worse the kids.
I think for a lot of us just knowing that we can vent here and have people hear our troubles and think about us positively; is a tremendous help in lifting our mood.
I have only been on this site a few weeks, but already I come back everyday and empathise with those who have similar experiences and those who are struggling to say a way - give them a few tips on seeing their world a bit differently.
Do you keep a journal?
