PSA after orgasm/masturbation?

Does masturbation/orgasm affect the PSA reading? Just to be safe I abstained for a few days before the blood draw. I’m 72; PSA is 0.6

yes, can affect the reading apparently.

It is recommended no vigorous exercise or sexual activities with ejaculation, this can give a different reading

Certainly did in my case. No one told me I should abstain just before a test so one reading was raised above the normal level for me. A repeat test gave a normal result. I’ve since learned that sex, vigorous exercise, cycling, even motorcycling or driving a tractor can all affect the result.

I also had a higher reading when blood was taken the morning after I forgot to abstaing from orgasming and had a masturbation session the night before. The repeat blood sample scored significantly lower.
