was everyone given instillagel or some sort of numbing gel after there operation?

Yep I was told mainly to take paracetamol and ibuprofen which had at home but they gave me instillagel and morphine sulphate if needed. I haven’t had to touch either of those yet and hopefully won’t need to

Just a full prescription of paracetamol and ibuprofen, which I stopped taking after the first week - using both was helpful but made my tummy all squirty. Other than that, just used Vaseline to soothe the skin and stop the stitches from sticking or poking.
