5 weeks post circumcision Op

I had circumcision Op on 13th November, scarring has healed really well, however. The swelling has not subsided at all, there is a bulge on 1 side which is quite tender but not in pain now. I was wondering has anyone attempted to have sex whilst the swelling is still present? Thanks

Hi there, hope you're okay. 5 weeks is still early days for swelling. It will take time to go down. I had a bulge on my right side that took longer to stop swelling than anywhere else. Yes, I had sex at 8-9 weeks healed while swelling was still present - at first I was a bit sore after sex for a couple days, but over time that has also stopped happening. I'm 9.5 months healed now and all swelling has long since gone and there hasn't been any post-sex swelling or soreness for months. Hope you're okay, you got this. It's just time.

Thanks for the reply, much appreciated it has been frustrating but I know it takes time having read the posts on here, really helpful

Absolutely. Time is what it takes. I learned very quickly that it didn't matter how healed I wanted to be, only how much I'd healed to-date. You'll be fine, mate. In a few months you'll be wondering where the time went.

Hi mate, we spoke briefly a couple of months ago, nothing has changed from my side yet, it’s been 3 months now, having sex isn’t the best because of the bulge on one side it’s putting pressure on the other side - no pain but having sex cause the skin to split, the skin cannot heal properly, think it’s time I see a specialist, didnt realise the recovery would be like this, 3 months and still the same as day one
