2 weeks ago I got circumcised due to having phimosis and it's healing up pretty well. There has been no infection and I have now been able to return to work and the gym.
I noticed when waking up from the discomfort of nocturnal erections I wasn't ever "fully erect". Out of curiosity I did attempt to get myself fully erect as my stitches have now dissolved and the swelling is practically gone. I noticed that it feels like I want to grow more but there is just no space to grow into if that makes sense. I measured and there is now a difference of between 1 to 1 and a half inches in length from pre-op to post-op which is alarming and has really taken a knock to my self esteem. Has anyone experienced anything similar?
Aesthetically I'm happy with the look but the loss of length wasn't anything I was made aware of before the procedure.
The circumcision scar is pretty close to the glans and the skin with hair follicles which was previously only at the bottom of my shaft is now further up. I previously curved upwards a small amount when erect and that curvature is no longer there.
I know It has only been a short time since the procedure but I do tend to worry about things and if this isn't correctable then it will remain to have a big impact on my self esteem.

I have no experience of being circumcised, but I imagine that scar tissue is less stretchy than normal skin at least until it has fully healed. Hopefully others will be able to reassure you that you are experiencing a temporary issue, but I think it likely that your normal size will recover.
Heya. All sounds very familiar. I'm 8 months healed now and it's all feeling very normal and working better than ever. You're very early on in the healing process and you'll notice strength and length come back over the following weeks. By the 8-week mark you'll be feeling a lot better. It's all about patience and staying calm - easier said than done, believe me. You'll be fine, mate. You got this.
That is exactly how I felt. It is a mental game. I thank God that people on this forum helped me understand what I was going through. Everything will go back to normal. Be patient and stay strong mentally. You got this bro.
I just wanted to chime in and I don’t want to alarm you but I notice this is happening with my husband.
he had circumcision done in February and has lost also about an inch to an inch and a half. I know it’s a touchy subject so I try and pretend that I don’t notice but I obviously have as he has as well because you can tell that he is very self-conscious about it. I heard you need to stretch it, and when I tried to bring it up to him, he didn’t want to talk about it telling me he doesn’t masterbate ever or try to “stretch” it. so I don’t know, he refused to go back to the doctor to ask and he just doesn’t want to talk about it. I keep hoping it will go back to normal but if not properly taken care of it may not.
Hi. In your husbands case, I think it will depend on how tightly he was circumcised. If a little tight it will improve with time. Stretching could help!
Understandable this is on your mind but two weeks is way too early for it to be back to normal. When I had mine done I thought it was a bit shorter at first (not that I measured it) and my erections definitely weren’t as full, but over time I realised these were just among a few signs of the healing process still going on - even when it otherwise looked fine from the outside. My doctor’s advice was to leave it to heal for six weeks before using it (!) and looking back I can say it wasn’t fully healed then either. In fact I’d say it was several months before it was fully right. But I think the size is now as it was and I much prefer it to before! Regarding the bend, your tight foreskin may have affected the shape of your erections (mine did, and I didn’t realise this was even possible)…on the other hand it may just be one of the things that comes back when you’re fully better. Definitely no need to panic, just give it time and fingers crossed you’ll be very happy once it’s completely healed.
Hey buddy I got circumcised a year ago , trust me you don't loose any inch , after I hot healed up in about 6 weeks my erections were proper and it just feels likes that its in your mind . May be you are not getting full erections due to the tight skin .Give it few months , do massage with mustard oil ,coconut oil . once your skin has healed properly you will get full erection and it may look smaller as you are used to seeing penis with skin but don't worry too much about it .
