Post circumcision swelling below glans after 7 weeks

Hi all. I did my circumcision due to phimosis at the end of 2022 and it has been more than 7 weeks since. I would say the recovery has been normal, except for the swelling just below the glans and above the incision. While the sensitity of my glans has improved since the operation, it is still extremely sensitive around this swollen area. It doesn't look infected, just swollen and looking like another swimming float ring below the glans. Is this swell normal after 2 months? Kind of getting worried now as what I've read is that things should be back to normal after 4 to 6 weeks.

My next follow up check up is in mid April and I'm wondering if I should call an make an earlier appointment to look into this swelling.

Thanks for the reply. There's no pain and infection, but it is really sensitive and I have trouble wearing loose/normal underwear because of it. I am currently wearing super tight ones for support.

We all heal at different rates. The tight pants should help. Try introducing touch. Start with gentle spray from the shower and build up pressure. This will hopefully get you accustomed to the feeling and the pain will gradually diminish. Good luck

After 21 months, I still get some irritation on the scar line. This is mostly dependent on the tightness of my underwear or jeans. Using some coconut oil on the scar line works to moisten it up a little and take down any irritation. It is certainly getting less than what is was at the beginning. Give it some time. Sleeping naked also gives everything time to heal and be free from any restrictions.
