got fully circumcised 7 days ago, took short baths after 48 hours of surgery . cant pull back to much to clean it properly as the pain nearly made me cry. its starting to get a funky cheesy smell to it. i just managed to pull back a little more and it released even more odour. has anybody else experienced this ? just hoping it is not an infection .

smell after circumcision
hi mate I had mine done 17 days ago. I had the same was to sensitive to touch ended up being an infection. I would call your doctors they prescribed me flucloxacillin which helped clear it up after a week
thanks for the reply .. glad to know the antibitics worked for you, how is your recovery going hopefully your over the worst of it?
i've booked to get it looked at in 2 days time just to be safe .
still recovering what I’m struggling with is the sensitivity still can’t put any boxer shorts on. I’ve tried everything but with no luck hopefully starts to de sensitise- it does start to become less painful after week 2 though. The sleeping on the back is also a struggle, if I got the option to have it done would definitely pick summer over winter. Hope your recovery goes well mate
quick update : seen the district nurses (2 of them) and neither of them think its infected and it appears to be healing well . stitches are starting to disolve. i think the smell was just where i couldnt clean properly because of the swelling.
If u were fully circumcised why is there still foreskin that u can pull back? And also definitely no baths for the first 2 weeks! Showers are ok but do not submerge it while u have an open wound! And with possible infections its better to see a dr sooner than later to avoid any permanent damage/ complications! Any updates
it was where my 'shaft' meets my 'helmet' , because of the swelling i couldnt clean there properly . also i have been bathing since day 4 with no issues (short baths no longer than 10 minutes).
i'm on day 19 since surgery and it appears to be healing well, just a few remaining sutures but the majority have already dissolved .
