When I go to the urinals, even if nobody is there. It is really hard for me to pee sometimes.
I don’t know how common or normal that is, but it is difficult as I just need to do what I need to do!

IF you have no issues about this at home or where you feel "normal" in your mindset, then having to wait till you can release is probably a Male acceptance issue. I am seeing a lot of young Males setting up new zip codes at the urinals these days. I'm 65yo and my generation and those following mine that had to dress out for PE in Jr High to High School, be seen naked and shower with others in gang showers were used to seeing that Males are all sizes. The young Males do not get this 6-year indoctrination these past 20 years in the USA, all they see is what is on the internet and usually PORN which is the biggest killer for Male self-acceptance. In the quiet of your room, sit and be 100% honest with yourself and acknowledge how you see yourself. Then see that if you are out of shape, you can do something about that, but you will see the battles you can and cannot win. I'm not a monster in the pouch, just a solid average breeder- 5 sons tho later and looking back I think of the days in High School thinking I was not at all normal, on the small size. I told all my sons when I saw them shying away from the showers at the nude showers in Germany, ( I have been a Pagan Naturist all my life, from a Prussian ranching family so shyness was not in the mix), "Anyone can have a huge delivery system, but it is the payload that counts",..., So get into yourself, be proud, pick your battles and learn to see your beauty in the things you have to accept. You'll find you'll have a lot more time in life to sweat the big stuff! LOL! PEACE.

When you'll get older and accept that every male has a penis. They all are different shape and size. No one cares your penis, but you.
I also love being naked, and am proud of my body. I don’t have any issues with embarrassment usually either… perhaps the more I try the easier it will become?

I get that too and a few of my friends do. I'm not sure why but I just use a cubicle. It's not an issue for the most part.
I don't really know as I have not asked other males and don't want to ask anyway. I am not that interested. What I believe is that yes, many males feel as you do. There is a name for this, but it usually is applied to males who don't feel comfortable with other males near them when urinating, not when the public facility is empty of people. Just do what the other males do - duck into the cubicle and pee there. I am the opposite, I could not care less even if I notice some man who is especially interested in my penis. I don't get it, the interest, as every man has a penis. Seen one seen them all and it is not exactly the most attractive part of a human body in any of its states.
I am not sure whether you don’t want to use the urinal because of others around you and you being conscientious of size etc . I have used urinals for many years but in recent years due to health reasons I go to the cubicle . In fact it’s forbidden in my religion for a man to be in the company of another male while naked or partially naked . Or using a urinal . So your instinct is natural and so just use a cubicle.
I feel you! I use to run to the stall to go but felt that was even more embarrassing than standing at the urinal pretending to go. Honestly I just learned to not care. People are too preoccupied with themselves to care or think about you or me. What helps me to go is to is start slowly relaxing my bladder like you feel you are about to pee your pants and when you hit the urinal you are ready to go. Love yourself and be kind to yourself.
At one time or another I think every guy has felt this. The best advice is to go into a stall and just take your time. Trust me if you are feeling this way, know that others in the bathroom are feeling this way as well
First thing I would say is make sure you actually need to go. No good standing there trying to force out what not there.
If you need to go, just stand and relax. If you still worry, use a stall.
Just to say, you are not alone in this department. I have had this for many years.
Previously most public toilets were actually quite personal, but when porcelain became so expensive toilets became very open as I result I found it hard and still do at 59.
I don’t know why this happens as I get the same issue when required for a work medical.
Being pee shy is common. Use the stall.
