I had my circumcision last Thursday (16th) with the NHS. The procedure went well enough, but the next day I kept bleeding quite heavily and ended up going to A&E. They were eventually able to stop the bleeding but I had to spend the weekend in hospital so they could keep an eye on it. I'm on my last day of antibiotics. I'm cleaning it every day and it certainly looks better, and is more uncomfortable rather than truly painful, plus I'm not too bothered by the sensitivity so much.
However, there's still a spot of blood coming from my frenulum area. I noticed this yesterday and again today. Obviously there's nowhere near as much blood as before, but I'm still a bit worried about this. Should I be worried or is this the norm?
Thank you very much in advance.

Hi there. I had my op last Thursday too and am still experiencing some drops of blood here and there. It isn’t painful and my consultant and other posts on this website suggest it’s all fine and part of the healing process. Certainly when it had bleed more it’s normally something I’ve done like itch or catch it on something.
Sorry to hear about your bleeding last week. Must have been a nightmare being in hospital over the weekend. Not sure how your stitches are but my first one dissolved and came out today. I bought some of the ‘pee pads’ at boots and wear those if Im out and about provides some extra protection I’ve found
Feel free to DM me if you want to. Like you it’s more uncomfortable than painful. Best of luck.
I had a cousin named Jimmy Smith ... nearly the same age. I say "had", because he eventually committed suicide. Evidently he got tired of dealing with related health issues.
