Painful sores on foreskin. OTC solutions?

I’ve been experiencing some pain recently. My foreskin was really inflamed. My doctor said that it was likely balanitis and those symptoms seem to have gone away but now there are still about four flesh colored sores on my foreskin that don’t go away and are painful. Could this be herpes? The pictures of herpes online look like clusters and not on the foreskin but the symptoms seem similar. Can herpes sores grow just on the foreskin?

If you have any reason to suspect herpes, you should get checked out. Both for your sake and your partner’s.

If balanitis keep happening, then I would suggest talk to your doctor about getting a circumcision.
