Itchy after circumcision normal?

I got a circumcision about 80 days ago with the Shang ring method, and my wounds have finally sealed up. Right after they did, the skin around the circumcision swelled up and it's very VERY itchy. The skin is darker and bumpy. To me it looks like rash, but I'm not sure what to do.

I've sent my doctor a message, but I'm waiting for him to get back...

Hey Eldy1234,That is a good sign of it healing, and it will be itchy for a while, try not to scratch it or when it is itchy try using a flannel or something wet or damp to massage it until the itch stops, but way you have described it its well on the mend, hope this helps matey

Thanks that sounds like good new. I was worried it might be the neosporin I'm using that I may have developed a resistance to. I went one day without neosporin and it doesn’t itch as bad.

Hey Eldy1234,No worries it also may need you to come off the Neosporin as its only an antibiotic ointment cream and maybe your putting to much on it now, leave it out for a couple of days and see how it goes, sounds as if its healed well already, hope that has helped, I am no doctor though but if it gets worse itching or anything just use wet/damp cloth, good luck
