Surgical Staples - How to encourage them to fall out?

Anybody got any recommendations?

- Got a stapler circumcision and need to know ways to help encourage them to fall out automatically so then I don't need to go back to hospital and get them pulled out

The staples need to be in place long enough to allow the wound to completely seal. There is no safe way to encourage them to fall out, so leave them alone however much they may itch, etc.

yes but if they are not out within 6 weeks time then the nurse said he has to pull them out.. they are supposed to fall out anytime from the 15th day onwards.. getting them pulled out is a last resort, my question is - how can I improve my chances of the staples falling out naturally between the 15th day and the 6 week mark?

Day 14, have six staples left. Just wait it out tugging them will cause bleeding....quite an improvement, swelling is gone but I have a flap below the glans and skin below the staple line is loose and saggy....

most of your staples have fell out already only on day 14? wow. I am on day 16 and only 1 staple has came out and thats because I took it out due to it hanging on. I was in gauze for 1 week and a half so I feel like that has not helped them falling out.

When you sleep you shed skin I believe, so maybe more sleep might help?

showers also soften and move the skin so maybe more showers might help loosen them too?

Can't say I sleep much, erections wake u up (sigh) and mostly 6 to 7 hrs rest. I had one shower in the first week which was so unimaginable otherwise. Changed dressing twice a day most days with sincere use of mupirocin or tbact ointment. Don't know about shedding...it's really itchy sometimes with the pins rubbing around when they start moving. I have 4 pins stading vertical at the bottom, I guess they will be off in a day or two...warm running water was a relief in the first shower eased the pain....stopped taking all medicines after first week.Currently I have to make the dressing width smaller since the saggy skin at the bottom moves over the wound...

that must be why yours loosened faster than mine, I never showered for two weeks as I was told and got the gauze changed once every 3 days 4 times at the hospital, the 5th time they took it off and no more gauze. I believe erections come frequent when you think about things even if its unknowingly, I distract myself always focusing on more important things even before sleep I think of sadness, pain or some problem and also empty my bladder before sleep which helps.. sometimes I wake up when the pins are pulling at my random erections but I am used to it now.

I have two vertical staples which are half bedded into my frenulum and one end is completely inside the skin to which I can't even see half of the staple.. looks like its being swallowed up by the skin and no idea how he will pull that out because there is no center or staple to pull, can only see a corner of the vertical staples

almost 2 weeks and a half and only one staple has came out for me. the doctor said give it 6 more weeks and then go and get them removed.. but some people on here talking crazy saying skin grows over them if not done within the first few weeks.

Wish I knew ways in which could help encourage them to loosen!
