Circumcision in 2-3 months on NHS by a private consultant at a private healthcare hospital

Hello I saw my consultant urologist yesterday. We decided on circumcision.

Please see my other posts.

I am lucky in that I'm an NHS patient who has been given over to Spire Healthcare and I've been under a private urologist consultant. He will see it through including the operation.

I also only have a 2-3 month wait for the surgery. Whereas if I was on the main NHS waiting list it would be longer.

I asked if he will be removing the frenulum. He said no. But as it's short he extends it. Anyone able to explain? I was lost on further thought.

Cheers

Each anatomy of frenulum is a bit different.

Frenulum breve is a condition where the frenulum is too short and can bent down the glans, when erect.

Frenulectomy means removal of the whole frenulum tissue.

Frenuloplasty means lenghtening of frenulum (i.e. Z-plasty).
