I have a very pronounced curvature on my penis. I went to see a urologyst and he suggested a frenuloplasty, but honestly I don't think that's the solution to my case. What do you think I should do? Is the frenuloplasty something I might regret doing?

Bent penis when erect

If you have been examined by your urologist and been recommended the suggested treatment, it is not the place of this forum to come between you and your urologist. We are not doctors and do not have the capacity to give second opinions.
Does it inhibit your in urinating or in sex? My bf has a pronounced upward curve that enhances sex
It is downward and it does not affect me in my daily life. I could live forever like this, but sex is challenging because my gf sometimes feels pain and some positions are pretty much impossible.
I had 2 frenuloplasties it does leave a scar on the inner foreskin, but it will lengthen the tight frenulum, if the frenulum is pulling the glans down you will need it doing or you could try steroids cream & stretching, but if it’s very tight the urologist might through experience realise you definitely need the surgery!
My curvature is from the middle of the penis, not from the frenulum. It is not just the glans going down. In fact I don't feel any tension from the frenulum. That is why I doubt about the surgery. I will get a second opinion from a doctor though.
How bad does it curve? Assuming downward from the frenulum?
It is downward but not from the frenulum. It is from the middle of the penis and I don't feel tension from the frenulum, so I know I'm not a doctor but that is why I have my suspicions about the diagnosis. I will definitely get a second opinion from another doctor.
I have the same curve downward, many people do a my urologist told me it's normal, can bend either way. I had a frenulum plasty and it made no difference, its just the way it is. I'm circumcised now and that made no difference also. I wish I had a bend upward but the only way to fix this is called a nesbits procedure - invasive and risky.
Are you sure the bend is not Peyronie's Disease? Has it always been like that or did it just happen?
I am familiar with this condition (Peyronies) and depends on how long it has been there. I mean .. was it suddenly that yu go to take a leak and piss all over the floor (like a week ago) ... or is it been like this for a year and in which case it is harder to treat. ... Greatly suggest you Google Peyronies forums an come back to this forum.
This is something that has "'suddenly" got me as well so i am up to date .. John
Do you have any difficulty with your downward? Mine is upward and I have no issue at all. Do you think yours is because of the position we place our penises in underwear?
I place mine upward, too. I always retract my foreskin back and make the glans out to place mine upward, but usually it will turn down or left or right, depends on my activities. Yeah it is man's issue to secretly use hand to place the tiny me back to its position! It is interesting to know about your pad.
