Meatus/urethra opening swell

Like 32 days post circumcision, every now and again the very top of the glans is swollen and red and sensitive to the touch. Any advice on how to help this/ what it might be. Is it just the last part of the glans desensitising?

Yeah all gone now, they started dissolving at like 2 weeks and last one went 5/6 days ago

Oh perfect mine are all attached any suggestions what to do for that?

When I had my stitches I bathed it in clean lukewarm salt water ( cooled down boiled water with a teaspoon of salt) and it helped them to dissolve. You should contact whoever did the op or your GP as the stitches might be able to be taken out by them. Apparently after 3 weeks they more or less do their job

Alright, I never actually cleaned it with salt water let me try that trick and if it doesn’t work I will consult the doc for that as the stitches pokes and irritates. I did met him 1 week back he said that it pains if he physically has to remove them.

yea it might hurt, but who knows they could all come out this week, everyone’s different. i would say to talk to doc anyways just to reassure you

I get that having stiches can be uncomfortable and also that swelling can last a long time for some people. However a question - Is there pain? Because if there is pain, then you should run it by a doc.

If this questions is for me, it’s only when the very top of the glans (meatus) comes in contact w clothing it is very sensitive. Other then that no lain

No worries. I tried to wear very loose clothing. That helped.

I had the same problem urologist prescribed betnovate to reduce swelling 46 days after circumcision almost back to normal peeing

Oh okay thanks, so it’s a swelling issue. I thought it might be because up until a month I had it in upright position w tight underwear to drain swelling. Only started wearing loose clothing now so it’s probs a gravity thing
