ZSR staple pins not fallen off

I've done a ZSR circumcision's treatment 4days back. and now I've swollen glans and staple pins has not fallen off. its very irritating that I can't even sleep. The plastic ring is coming off a little but not fully . is it usual or something I have to consult?

At 4 days you are extremely early in your recovery and cannot expect the wound retention to come off.

For ZSR ideally the rings starts to fall off starting week 3 .most people take atleast 3-4 Weeks for staples to fall completely. Not sure why you want get rid of it without healing

4 days is very early in the healing process which will take 6-8 weeks to complete. The wound closure (whether stitches or staples) can be expected to take up to 2 weeks to complete. I would be very surprised if either stitches or staples started to fall out wthin a week.

I am on my 10th day post zsr.. and silicone ring is not yet fallen.. don't worry..

The human body takes time to heal and adapt to surgeries and changes. Four days is nothing - it’s not like you got a paper cut - your foreskin was removed.

As others have explained such procedures take 3-5 week before sutures and staples fall off. Even if doctors remove sutures on 12th day the wound is usually very raw and doctors normally recommend keeping it wrapped in bandage and gauze to ensure the wound and scar don’t experience any further physical trauma a d stress.

Please be patient else your wound will not heal properly and you could have further complications which could have long term negative impact on the outcome.
