Frenulum still swollen

Hi all, I’m 5 weeks post circumcision and my frenulum is still swollen? Is this normal? I’m seeing my surgeon next week just wondered if anyone has experienced this and if there is a remedy?

The frenulum always seems to be the last area to heal. Mention it to your surgeon if it is still a problem when you meet.

I have not had the problem. You cannot put a timescale on healing as each guy is different. You will know how well you are doing when you meet your surgeon.

Hey Time is a healer. Your only 5 weeks in. I had a lot of swelling around the frenulum area and it’s took about 9 months. The battle when recovering, is the battle with your mind. Some days you wake up and feel like you have gone backwards in the healing process. Things will get better.

Thank you for your reply. I am seeing the surgeon on Tuesday so hopefully he will tell me what he thinks.

Did you put any creams for healing?

I was using medical grade honey but not for swelling. It was to close a gape wound due to a stitch popping. Just look after yourself. Eat healthy keep hydrated and stay positive.

Medical grade honey is for wound healing without antibiotics. Not for treatment of swelling issue.
