Your stitches are there to hold the two cut edges together whilst they fuse and start to heal. The stitches do their job in 10-12 days. Some stitches may fall out earlier, but otherwise it is desirable to remove them after 14 days to prevent stitch tunnels and increase your comfort.

I'm not sure how yours was done but I believe a lot of guys have dissolvable stitches, so the stitches go away on their own. I just finished 2nd week of recovery and half of my stitches have loosened up.

I had dissolving stitches on mine, and they just fell out. Everyone heals differently, but give it a couple of weeks at least and just try and be patient.
