Hi all,
I thought I'd post an update and see if anyone has experienced something similar as to what I've been going through.
I had a frenulectomy in February that was quite invasive. about 0.75 of an inch of my frenulum was removed due to a tight scarred frenulum. It has since healed and I'm left with scar tissue that although can be pulled further back, can still not go all the way without tearing and pain. I've had sex a few times in the last 2 months with my wife but it was gentle and with lots of lubrication.
The problem is nerve pain at night, especially when my penis is in a resting position. It's deep nerve pain (throbbing like) so I'm wondering if it is permanent nerve damage. I'm on the waitlist to see a neurologist about this as the Urologist surgeon keeps insisting that my penis looks normal and healthy aside from the scarring which cannot be helped.
It seems everything aggravates it. I can't do any sports and even sitting is bad. I got a second opinion from a different urologist who recommended stretching the scar tissue and that it will soften in time. He also said it can take up to 18 months to "feel normal" again. Has anyone experience this? I believe the pain is in the dorsal nerve. It's starting to become completely debilitating.
Thanks
