ED can be a side effect of some anti-anxiety meds - see: medicalnewstoday.com/articl...

I take anti-anxiety pills I told my doctor that is causing me erectile problems, he told me that I have to make a sacrifice to live with the anxiety and have erections or take the pills and have no anxiety and hardly get erections, but I can’t make it without my pills I have bad anxiety.

Will he consider a different medication? There are probably a dozen or so anti-anxiety meds. The fact that you have issues with one doesn't mean you'll have them with another.

We have try a dozen of medicines and duloxetine is the only 1 that work with my anxiety but it does gets me that side effect.

Ugh! Okay, fair enough.

I was on an SSRI , sertraline, a couple of years ago. Completely messed up my down below department. Reduced erection and almost impossible to ejaculate. Upset my sleep too. All got better when I stopped! Horrible drugs.....

See if there is a non selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor you can have? They saved my life (I was suicidal) but they are also prescribed as an anti premature ejaculation drug, that's how much effect they have on your sex life!

What do they prescribe you?

Called Paroxetine, the main ingredient is Paroxetine hydrochloride anhydrate. The other ingredients in other anti depressants that cause most problems (SSRI's) are citalopram, escitalopram, fluoxetine and sertraline.

Active ingredients that cause least problems are bupropion, mirtazapine, vilazadone and vortioxetine. All made by different companies with different brand names, those are the active drug names.

The one you are on, duloxetine, is not an SSRI but is in the group of drugs (SNRI's) that are second worst for erectile dysfunction.

If any of the ones in the second group help your anxiety they should cause fewer problems but obviously that's for you and your doctor.

Good luck.
